The Panama Canal is having the largest celebration of its history. The next August 15, 2014, the Canal turned 100 years of uninterrupted work and for this, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has launched a new brand logo of the Canal on the occasion of its centennial.
The logo to celebrate this important milestone, symbolizes the country’s role as a connection point for the world. The design shows a performance with the shape of the isthmus in which the 100 years are highlighted to indicate the significance of the number.
Throughout the next year, many activities are scheduled to celebrate the centennial. There will be a series of cultural events, educational visits, commemorations of historical dates and publications on the impact that the waterway has had on the world.
The festivities are not limited to Panama City, but that will be held throughout the country, always highlighting all the aspects that have made the international symbol Canal.
